I know first hand what it is like to lose your fitness identity. Illness took away my exercise for 2 years. At one point, I thought I may never be athletic again.
Most people will experience a life changing event that will throw them off course with fitness. For many that’s children, for others it could be more difficult circumstances, such as illness, grief, or mental health.
When this happens it’s easy for the athletic version of yourself to become a distant memory, to lose confidence, and to struggle with consistency.
